After winning awards at the FANTASIA Film Festival, FANTASTIC FEST, DEAD BY DAWN and the NASHVILLE FILM FESTIVAL, END OF THE LINE has just won two more prizes at the FANTASPOA Film Festival in Brazil, the AUDIENCE AWARD for BEST FILM and a special mention by the jury for "BEST SCREAM QUEEN".

I am really thrilled, the response to the film is really overwhelming, and after winning two AUDIENCE AWARDS FOR BEST FEATURE (at Dead
By Dawn in Scotland and Fantasia in Montreal) adding this one is the icing on
the cake.
Next up for the film is the Los Angeles premiere during the HOLLYWOOD FILM FESTIVAL.
"End of the Line," will screen on Sunday, October 21 at 9 pm. The screenings will take place at Arclight Cinemas located at 6360 W.

Great news!! END OF THE LINE has just won the SILVER FANTASIA AUDIENCE AWARD for BEST FEATURE
(North or South American, or European Production).
Coming in second only to HATCHET.
This is a huge honor as there was competition from some terrific films (THE SIGNAL, MULBERRY
STREET, RIGHT AT YOUR DOOR, THE LAST WINTER, THE BACKWOODS, TRAPPED ASHES and many more).
And for those who might think I had an unfair advantage being a local boy...Listen to this...Absolutely NO ONE even remotely connected to the film
(crew, actors, friends or family) VOTED AT ALL...As voting ballots were not made
available until a week AFTER my screening towards the end of the festival. So only regular Fantasia spectators got to vote...If anything HATCHET had a slight advantage with a total of 3 full
screenings, to my one shot presentation.

May 9th, 2007Great news! END OF THE LINE has just won the AUDIENCE AWARD for BEST FEATURE at the DEAD BY DAWN film festival in SCOTLAND. The film was facing stiff competition from some high quality films like Nacho Cerda's THE ABANDONED, SHUTTER and MULBERRY STREET among others. I will be receiving a gorgeous, engraved CHAINSAW statuette from the festival, I am extremly honored and touched to receive this award.

For it's EUROPEAN premiere, the film played to an enthusiastic sold out crowd
(over 500) on Halloween night (31st) at the DONASTIA SAN SEBASTIEN HORROR AND FANTASY FILM FESTIVAL in
SPAIN.
We finished 5th out of 16 features in the popularity vote , facing some stiff competition (RIGHT AT YOUR
DOOR, THE ABANDONED, GRAVEDANCERS).
My all expenses paid trip (flight, 4 star hotel with view of the beach,
meals) to the beautiful city of San Sebastian was a blast. I was joined there by my lead actress ILONA ELKIN who came down to be part of the fest and visit her Father who was coming to see the film from

The film premiered on September 9th at the prestigious TORONTO
INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL.
What can I say, the odds were against us, but we managed to get selected into the SECOND MOST IMPORTANT FILM FESTIVAL IN THE WORLD
(right behind CANNES). We walked the red carpet (See pics) saw tons of stars. It was very
exciting. A bunch of my friends helped me to
organize a publicity stunt, dressing as cult members (from the movie) with END OF THE LINE posters,
walking, chanting and handing out flyers downtown, see pics, the funny thing
is, that day, there were over 40 000 real cult members doing a gathering in a park near the
theatre. The film was very well received from the sold out crowd, who jumped and screamed on many occasions. One man was so disturbed by one nasty horror
scene, he caused a commotion before leaving. The HIGH DEFINITION digital projection with 5.1 Sound was astounding
(although a bit too loud at the second showing). Positive
reviews popped up shortly after (See reviews section).

I worked on the off-line edit of the film from my home on FINAL CUT PRO.
The five-week main shoot of END OF THE LINE begins JUNE 1st and ends July 5th. We went from dying of heat (one of the hottest summers in Montreal
history) to freezing (shooting underground in the tunnels). See pics here.
Saturday May 28th, the first day of shooting at my friend IGOR SIMONNET's loft. We did GREEN SCREEN shots of the REVEREND HOPE
(DAVID.L.McCALLUM).
No turning back now... On May 25th, I issue HUGE non-refundable check to the ACTRA UNION for the entire payroll of the actors for the upcoming shoot
(under a lower budget agreement).
Begin pre-production, finalize locations, crew up.
